WHAT WE DO

We are space makers and dream creators – we make it happen. We lead our clients through a collaborative process to create spaces that are a true reflection of their lifestyles, their passions, their hobbies, their loves, their families, their collections, their dreams….

Navigating you through a very organized process, we open the doors to luxury, creativity, artistry, resources and materials that all combine to culminate in the “signature décor” that is all about you and the environment you want to create. We specialize in remodeling design, getting our clients settled in a new home, as well as Denver and surrounding area relocations.

We are super organized and specialize in efficient project management and communication, so clients know exactly what's going on, clients get exactly what they want, and contractors know exactly what they are building. We start all projects with budget development, to help you prioritize how to best allocate your budget to achieve your perfect space.

RITA COLTRANE

Born and “grazed” in central Wyoming, Rita Coltrane quickly learned that having the wind, blowing so hard as to knock you down (truly happened), was a constant complaint of locals and visitors alike.  She, however; having an “I gotta get outta this wind” imagination, took inspiration in reading stories of world traveling women like Nancy Drew, Helen of Troy and Amelia Earhart, and instead let the wind guide her sails from Casper to CSU in Fort Collins, to Denver, San Diego and Houston, and then ultimately back to Colorado to open her own Interior Design firm: Signature Interiors.

Along that wind blown path, Rita learned a tremendous amount about customer service, project management, team building, and vendor management.  It was Rita’s happy discovery that these elements, when mixed with creativity, could be a catalyst for tremendously successful design projects.  She also observed that the Interior Design business (and sometimes the construction industry) were often woefully lacking in some of these critical factors.  This combination of pragmatism and artistry became the foundation of Rita’s approach with Signature Interiors.

Since 2001, after serving dozens and dozens of happy clients, Rita continues to run the boutique interior design firm with her team of three.  She often introduces herself as a “risk manager” because she’s always looking ahead to ensure that project risk factors are identified and avoided (Like ensuring the 7 ½’ round ceiling medallion getting installed into a room will actually fit through the door) and that designs can actually be built, even if it does take a little cajoling with the General Contractors.  Rita has also been known to describe herself as a “Space Maker and Dream Creator”.  Clients are often surprised how Rita, thinking outside the box, has immensely enhanced the spaces they’ve entrusted to her.  Over the years, she has treated each project as individual, envisioning solutions as unique as her clients.

Outside of her business, Rita has many hobbies, but Road Biking probably tops the list. She’s biked through Italy’s Chianti Region, Western Tuscany, Spain, Denver, San Francisco, San Diego, Tampa, Treasure Island, New Orleans, Casper, Steamboat, Grand Junction/Palisade, Sedona, Palm Springs, and Temecula.  Her biking adventures have given her countless nicknames:  Don’t Run over Rita, Weed Patch Rita, Rigor mortis Rita, and Rita Tequila. (You can guess her favorite sipping beverage.)  She’s has a big heart for fundraising to “Stomp Out Multiple Sclerosis," and has been a frequent sponsor of Toys for Tots, even before her son became an active duty United States Marine “Oorah”.   She loves adventuring to Wine and Foodie events with her friends, colleagues and clients.
